Q1: Do I have to switch my fuel card?

Absolutely not. This is our most asked question. Fuel Mentor negotiates better discounts directly with truck stops and gets them added to your existing fuel card. You keep everything exactly as it is — we simply add more savings on top

Fuel Mentor’s compensation is directly tied to your savings. We only succeed when you save money — making this a true partnership with zero risk to your fleet

Q3: How long does it take to see results?

Most clients start seeing improved discounts within 21 days or less. We move quickly because every day without better discounts is money your fleet is leaving on the table.

Q4: What size fleet do you work with?

Fuel Mentor enjoys helping fleets of all sizes. However, our sweet spot and best results come from fleets operating 20 trucks or more. If you’re unsure whether your fleet is a good fit, fill out our contact form and Ben will give you an honest assessment.

Q5: What do you need from us to get started?

Very little. A 15-minute conversation and some basic fuel data is all Ben needs to assess your fleet’s savings potential. We do the heavy lifting from there.

Q6: What if you can’t find us better discounts?

It’s rare — but if we can’t find your fleet better discounts, you owe us nothing. In most cases, Ben can determine during the initial 15-minute call whether your fleet is a strong candidate for additional savings. We respect your time and work hard to make sure every conversation is worthwhile.

Q7: What if we already have decent fuel discounts?

That’s exactly what most of our clients thought before they called us. In almost every case, we find significant additional savings even for fleets that already have negotiated discounts. The question isn’t whether you have discounts — it’s whether you have the best discounts available.

Q8: Why can’t we negotiate these discounts ourselves?

Fuel discount negotiation requires deep insider relationships with truck stop networks that take years to build. Most fleet owners and management only have visibility into their own fuel data — maybe a handful of fleets at most.
